The Space:

Designed for comfort and relaxation, we chose a layout and amenities we would hope for in a vacation rental.

The reverse style floorplan of the home makes it ideal to share with friends and family and provides better vistas of the ocean and sunrises from the top floor.

The lower level is where you access the home, and also features a covered parking area, outdoor shower and half bath which is convenient during beach days. The home also has an elevator, which makes it convenient to move your supplies and suitcases, or for people who have difficulty with stairs.

On the main floor, there is a master bedroom with full bath and a covered walkout porch. Down the hall is the first of two spare bedrooms with a bunk bed - full on the top, full on the bottom. The second of two spare bedrooms also features a bunk bed - single on the top, full on the bottom. The spare bedrooms share a full size bath located between the two rooms. The main floor is also where the laundry room is located, with front-loading washer and dryer.

On the top floor you'll savor a entirely furnished, roomy kitchen with a dual stove and gas cooktop, plentiful cabinet space, a enormous granite countertop and stainless steel appliances. We've also had a whole home Kinetco water filtration and reverse osmosis system installed. Just beyond the kitchen is an open dining area, game table and living room with sizable screen intelligent TV. Outside the living room is a walkout covered porch to appreciate the weather or watch the sunrise! Also on the top floor is a bedroom with queen-size bed and a full bath.

Guest Access:

While you're staying here, the home will be your private beach getaway. You'll have access through the main door or via the elevator, whichever is easiest and most convenient for the guests.

Interactions with Guests:

For check-in, you will receive a personalized keyless entry code for the door on the lower level. Once inside, we'll provide a key for the door to access the elevator. You can arrive anytime after 4 PM on your first day and leave by 11 AM on your last day.

Though we will not be at the home during your stay, we are only a text or phone call away. We have pulled together a list of our favorite local spots and adventures which will be supplied to you to help make the most of your stay.

Other Things to Note:

Please bag all your trash / recycling and make sure to put it in the proper container located in the parking area during your stay and upon departure. If you would like additional cleaning service during your stay, that can be arranged after booking and before your stay for an additional fee.

The home is also our personal vacation home and one we plan to pass down the family, so please treat it as you would your own, leaving it in the same or better condition than you found it (minus the cleaning, which the crew will take care of for you).

Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserve your Cape Fear area rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Townhouse a block from beach, Ocean facing, EZ Access elevator, Covered parking! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
