Finding the best Oak Island rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Book your Cape Fear area rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Summer Breeze: Spacious, Private Yard, Quiet Neighborhood, Close to Beach and Wa has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
