The menu goes well beyond the scope of hot dogs, and includes a nice array of hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, cookies and ice cream, which include the basics, like an OKI style burger with mustard, chili, slaw and onions, to the more original, like the Tropical Chicken sandwich with pineapple. Even though there’s a nice variety of lunchtime staples, the hot dogs are the star of the show, and visitors will have more than a dozen varieties to choose from. For something wholly original, try the Signature Surf & Turf dog, which features mustard, slaw, cocktail sauce, and grilled shrimp. With all the classics represented in new and slightly creative ways, Bob’s Dogs is a step above the classic beachside hot dog stand.
