How to get the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Pelican Watch 901 - Oceanfront, Elevator, Outdoor Pool, Indoor Pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
