Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Get the best rental home value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental home:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. OCEANFRONT, UPDATED, Heated Pool, Elevator, Clean, Near Boardwalk, Shops, Dining has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If not, email the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Additional considerations:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
