Strategies for getting the perfect vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Holden Beach. Reserve your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Smoke Free 2nd Row BEACH ACCESS ACROSS THE ST 5 Bedrooms 5.5 Baths Elevator\nPool has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area destination you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
