Located right downtown in a handsome historic row of mansions, you'll find this condo has old world charm paired with modern amenities. The vintage wood floors, baseboards, decorative non-operating original fireplaces, and other historic details will take you back in time to the 1800's, but the comfortable furnishings, clean ambiance, supplied kitchen, cozy bed, intelligent TV, and wifi meet today's traveler's needs. Recently modernized by a former New Yorker, this cozy condo captures the Manhattan feel with an open and clean design. The decor and feel brings the NYC 43rd St apartment vibes with the well appreciated historic elements paired with timeless subway tile, beautiful and jazzy decor, and an uncluttered look. This condo is one of five in a enormous historic home on Front Street.

Your condo is private with a private entrance, and is one of 5 in an amazing historic home. You can chill out on the shared front porch or sit outside in backyard on the patio. The 2nd floor balcony is shared with one other condo and accessed through a common area, with great vistas. You'll have access to a shared laundry room with coin operated machines inside. You'll also get one parking pass to park a normal size car or modest pickup behind the home (complimentary parking in downtown Wilmington!!)

We are here when you need us and invisible when you don't. Ada prides herself on speedy replies. We're here for you if you need us.

This condo is located in arguably the nicest block of Old Wilmington's historic mansion district. The architecture around the neighborhood is gorgeous, with mansions and huge single family homes. Treat yourself to downtown's best.

If you walk out the front door onto Front Street, you'll see the glamorous Dudley Mansion from 1825, a impressive 10,000 sq ft estate that was home to North Carolina's first Governor. If you walk out the back door and down the cozy alley driveway to 2nd Street, you'll see block after block of elegant Victorian homes. If you adore old homes and turn of the century architecture, be sure to make some time to take it in!

Just walk!!! You're very close to eateries, shopping, nightlife, entertainment, the waterfront and riverwalk, museums, and ghost tours!

Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Manhattan on Front! Balcony Park Free! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
