Located right downtown in a handsome historic row of mansions, you'll find this condo has old world charm paired with modern amenities. The vintage wood floors, baseboards, decorative non-operating original fireplaces, and other historic details will take you back in time to the 1800's, but the comfortable furnishings, clean ambiance, supplied kitchen, cozy bed, intelligent TV, and wifi meet today's traveler's needs. Recently modernized by a former New Yorker, this cozy condo captures the Manhattan feel with an open and clean design. The decor and feel brings the NYC 43rd St apartment vibes with the well appreciated historic elements paired with timeless subway tile, fresh and jazzy decor, and an uncluttered look. This condo is one of five in a sizable historic home on Front Street.
Your condo is private with a private entrance, and is one of 5 in an extraordinary historic home. You can chill out on the shared front porch or sit outside in backyard on the patio. The 2nd floor balcony is shared with one other condo and accessed through a common area, with great vistas. You'll have access to a shared laundry room with coin operated machines inside. You'll also get one parking pass to park a normal size car or modest pickup behind the home (complimentary parking in downtown Wilmington!!)
We are here when you need us and invisible when you don't. Ada prides herself on speedy replies. We're here for you if you need us.
This condo is located in arguably the nicest block of Old Wilmington's historic mansion district. The architecture around the neighborhood is impressive, with mansions and huge single family homes. Treat yourself to downtown's best.
If you walk out the front door onto Front Street, you'll see the glamorous Dudley Mansion from 1825, a striking 10,000 sq ft estate that was home to North Carolina's first Governor. If you walk out the back door and down the cozy alley driveway to 2nd Street, you'll see block after block of beautiful Victorian homes. If you appreciate old homes and turn of the century architecture, be sure to make some time to take it in!
Just walk!!! You're very close to eateries, shopping, nightlife, entertainment, the waterfront and riverwalk, museums, and ghost tours!
Uber's are everywhere!
The trolley is complimentary and drives by.
Free parking means you can come and go as you like.
Located less than a half hour drive from either Carolina Beach or Wrightsville Beach.
Parking:
COMPLIMENTARY PARKING BEHIND THE HOME:
The alley entrance to the parking area is 9 feet wide. That means you cannot fit a enormous work van or a big work truck and trailers are not allowed. You will have one (1) parking spot.
COMPLIMENTARY PARKING ON THE STREET:
If you need additional spots and want to park on the street, where parking is restricted to residents, we can get you a Historic District street parking pass. You will need to pay a $50.00 deposit that we will return when the pass is returned.
Laundry:
There is an on site laundry facility. We try and keep soaps in there in case you need some. The machines and the laundry room are shared with the other guests but are seldom in use.
Checkout:
Checkout is 11am, but we can offer late checkout as availability accepts. 12pm checkout is $20, and 1pm checkout is $30. Please contact us first and if we can accommodate your late checkout, we will be happy to.
