On the back porch watch the skies for multiple different varieties of ocean birds while they fly and fish in the protected marsh area.
The home is about 3/4 mile to the nearest beach access. Walking time from driveway to beach access is 9 mins.. If you rent a golf cart it's about a 2 min. drive.
When not relaxing at the beach or by the pool you can appreciate a game nighttime in or stream your favorite show or movie on one of the 4 tvs. When you're ready to head out and discover Holden Beach you can look for the "Holden Golden" mailboxes. There are 3, East End, West End and Sailfish Park (this is nearest the home). There is also the Holden Beach Pavilion and Fishing Pier where you can check out the summer concert series! Tips and Tricks for getting the best Holden Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Holden Our Flip Flops heated pool, putting green and short walk to beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
