Your heart, mind and soul will rest at ease in the comfort and luxury of this just remodeled and attractively furnished beach bungalow. Ideal for intimate family gatherings (a great overflow home for grandparents), a best friends hideaway, or as an modren executive getaway! On the peaceful west side of the island - just 3 streets away from Bird Island - you'll savor 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a gourmet kitchen. Appreciate new furnishings, the softest cotton sheets and coverlets, plush towels and unique art throughout! (Regrettably, the home is not so suited for tweens or younger but we're happy to recommend neighboring homes that are and can support multigenerational families!)

About the Area

Located in Sunset Beach, this cottage is near the beach. While the natural beauty of Ocean Isle Beach and Holden Beach can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out Cherry Grove Pier.
Ingram Planetarium and Museum of Coastal Carolina are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Summer is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
• Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.

• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
• Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
