Unsurpassed bay view! Walk to the beach in less than 3 mins..

What makes this beach home stand out from the others?
This bay front residence features a rare ‘down the bay’ view unlike most other bay homes on the island which have vistas across the bay. Vistas are particularly striking at sunrise and moonrise when light from the sun or moon shimmers on the water. Scenic vistas available from the screened porch, sun deck or crow’s nest include the bay, Tubbs Inlet, the marsh and Intracoastal Waterway. From the crow's nest you can savor amazing sunsets. Our east facing, bay view screened porch, which spans the full width of the home, receives early morning sun and is protected from stronger afternoon rays, making it an ideal place to appreciate your morning coffee or an evening drink after a day spent on the beach, site seeing, shopping or playing golf. Also viewable from the screened porch, is a sizable undeveloped tract of land just purchased by the Town Of Sunset Beach, to be preserved as a park. Access to the beach is simple, and you will have your toes in the sand/surf after a short 5 min. walk. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and cared for every week.

Fabulous 'end of the bay' location provides handsome opportunities for nature watching. Abundant wildlife can been observed all year long with deer, grackles, pelicans, terns, gulls, egrets, herons, merganzers and kingfishers to name a few. Watch baitfish, shrimp and mullet jump in the bay along with drum, trout and blue crabs. Bring your camera!

Sunset Beach NC was named one of 21 Finest Beaches in the World by National Geographic!

Booking the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking the right Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • First, have your family select vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Ebb Tide: Spectacular Bayfront View At Sunset Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
