How to book the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Cuddlefish: Oceanfront Home with Beautiful Sunset Views has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
