Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.

  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
