Our top Holden Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • To start, have your group commit to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Beach Crew - Wonderful Ocean and Marsh Views with Private Pool! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your group.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
