We are just a few steps away from the ocean's edge where you can appreciate surf, sun, sand, alluring vistas of the sunrise, sunset and the iconic Ocean Isle Pier. Unwind under the shaded porch while listening to the waves, sipping on your morning coffee or afternoon drink. Appreciate your meals poolside or as a beach picnic at sunset. Make memories at Anchor'D in OIB.
The space
Our striking beachfront condo, Anchor'D in OIB, is located smack dab on the ocean and is in the heart of all the action. As the new owners this season, we made modest decorative enhancements to the already handsome and hip condo which had just gone through a major remodel.

We take care of all the little things - towels, linens, coffee, and snacks for your first day of arrival - so that you can pack your bag of essentials and let us take care of the rest!

Guests are less than one block from all the action. Let kids and adults frolic in OIB's new play park, complete with water features, amphitheater (Wednesday nighttime Movies & Friday nighttime concert series) and kids' playground. Mini Golf, Sunset Slush, and eateries overlooking the gorgeous inter coastal waterway are just a 3-min. walk from our condo.

For more fun activities, check out OIB Pier fishing, surf stores for units, the Museum of Coastal Carolina (all things sea creatures), shopping at the local stores and just a short drive away is the cute fishing town of Calabash. If you're into adventure, the Swamp Park -Zip Line and ATV Center are just a few miles away, and one of our favorite ways to watch the sunset with friends is upon the Cruisin' Tikis in Holden Beach.

There is so much to do on our handsome island and beaches. Come and savor. If you have any questions at all please feel complimentary to reach out to the host!

How to book the best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Anchor'd in OIB Condo in Ocean Isle Beach, NC\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
