This annual event that takes place all weekend long features an array of seedlings and plants of all varieties, and is a favorite destination for local and visiting gardeners alike to get a jump start on the spring planting season.
The Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale takes place in April, which is prime planting season for most of North Carolina, and during the multiple-day event, the grounds of the Arboretum are transformed into a landscape of plants for sale. Attendees can stop by and pick up fruits, veggies, annuals, perennials, and other plants or trees to brighten up their yard and garden, and will also have an opportunity to chat with Master Gardener volunteers for advice on planting, as well as long-term care. With everything from rose bushes to herbs and veggies, the event is a one-stop-shop for anyone who wants to flex their green thumb. Completely free to all attendees, the Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale has become a favorite yearly event for everyone who celebrates the arrival of the planting season.
