Kids of all ages will have a ball while learning a little bit more about our precious planet at the annual Earth Day Celebration which is held in the heart of Wilmington. During this special afternoon event, the Hugh MacRae Park in the central region of the Port City will be transformed into a fun, festival atmosphere complete with exhibits, drinks, food, and live music, which all combine to provide an educational yet entertaining day that kids and adults alike will adore.

The action starts at noon at the Hugh MacRae Park, and the event is free for everyone who wants to stop by this sunny and centrally located destination to see what the celebration is all about. Though the annual event changes with every year, expect to discover more than 45 exhibits on the local and global environment, an array of tempting goodies including food and beverages available for sale, a special Kids’ Eco Zone that’s designed with young visitors in mind, live music by regional performers, and so much more! With a ton to discover, and plenty ways to learn more about saving the world, the Earth Day Celebration is a great way for folks of all ages to honor the planet we call home.
