How to book the best rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the right Cape Fear area rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Weekend Rescue: 10 bedroom, 10.5 bath ocean view new construction with pool and has 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
