We have two oceanfront units at Carolina Beach:

This handsome condo has a striking view of the ocean and the pool. It's a cavernous one-bedroom with a king bed, a top-floor unit for up to six guests. The pool is giant (closes October 1) and has a gated grass area with a bbq and private beach access. Linens are included! There is ample parking, and it's close to the eateries and nightlife! You will adore this top-floor oceanfront unit!

Interaction with guests:
Since we travel all the time, we use a fantastic management company that has been in the tourism industry for many years. They will be able to answer any questions and take care of any issues 24 hrs a day. Please appreciate this home as if it were yours.

Check-in procedures:
I will supply you with an electronic code before you arrive. This will allow you to enter the front door. An owner's storage downstairs has some of my things inside. Feel complimentary to use that for your beach stuff.

About the Area

Located on the beach, this condo is in Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach. Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Carolina Beach Arcade and Four Hounds Distilling. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Find your perfect rental home:

• Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
• Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
• Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.

• Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
