Booking the best rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Planning and picking the perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • Choose vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 0510 Beachtrippin' (1-Bedroom Home) with Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
