Plan your next great escape at Barrett House, a brand new extravagant 4BR dreamhouse located right in the heart of Carolina Beach. This cavernous 1-level luxury home is the ideal place for a beach vacation with the family, an extended stay or a remote work hideaway. Take your next zoom meeting from our enormous outdoor saltwater pool (or our indoor office space) while you’re here, or embrace your inner yogi perfecting the art of vacation mindfulness in our upstairs loft exercise area.

Constructed in 2021, Barrett House was impeccably designed with roomy high ceilings and top-of-the-line appliances. With 5500 sq feet of indoor and outdoor space that’s lined with high-end travertine decking, you’ll have access to everything you’ll need to make the most of your time here. Spend your days calming in our unique saltwater pool or hop over to clear your mind in the attached raised hottub. Rinse off in the outdoor shower and then comfortable up at nighttime for dinner by the gas fireplace in the living room or the wood-burning fireplace in the outdoor screened-in porch. Or go for some peaceful snuggles on the covered patio, while watching the moonlight glisten as it softly lights up the pool. With 3500 sq ft of spacious interiors, there’s plenty of room for everybody. Three of the bedrooms have king sized Beds and the 4th has a Queen, so there’s never any debating who gets the best room – because every room is the best room. Plus, they’re all equipped with full, ensuite bathrooms. The 4th full bath also opens up to the rest of the home.

Start each morning at the breakfast island in the main kitchen, prepare brunch using brand-new stainless steel appliances, and don't worry if you have too much food–there’s a second “messy” kitchen off the walk-in pantry that’s ideal for overflowing dishes, setting up a sundae bar or additional prep work if you’re bringing dinner in from town. Centrally located on the island, next to Mike Chappell Park, Carolina Beach Skate Park and the Greenway path, Barrett House is right next to tons of outdoor green space and playgrounds that welcome cycling, basketball, tennis, soccer and more. Leave your car at the home and grab our bicycle beach cruisers to go anywhere, from the beach to the park to the grocery store. Everything you could imagine is located just 7 to 10 blocks away, and conveniently bikeable or hop in the golf cart. The 4 seater golf cart has a town parking pass (saving you money). Drive straight to the beach access and use the golf cart designated spaces making it super convenient.

It's also a convenient way to get around the island and avoid the anxiety of driving your car.

Please be sure to review our cancellation policy prior to making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.

Cape Fear area vacation rental home tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your Cape Fear area rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Luxury Oasis - Pool, Jacuzzi, Golf Cart! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
