Getting the best rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation home:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Cheek to Cheek at Ocean Isle Beach, Ocean front home with great views and new deck! has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
