Booking the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the best vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. ????Hightide- Great Canal and Ocean Views-4 Bedroom???? has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area attraction you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
