When to go & When to book:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.   • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
