Bald Head Island’s impressive salt marsh is on display from this comfortable three-bedroom, pet friendly condo conveniently located near Old Baldy, the marina, stores, eateries, and the beach. This open floorplan sanctuary delights with serene treetop vistas from the kitchen, dining area, gathering space and Primary suite. The roomy kitchen features an ample pantry, plenty of counter prep room and a breakfast bar. You can appreciate munching here or close by in the bright dining area which is highlighted by a Capiz shell chandelier and sided by sliding doors opening onto a covered porch overlooking the BHI’s Maritime Forest. This is a terrific spot for bird watching or just appreciating Island breezes. Adjacent to the dining area is the home’s cozy living space. It is flooded with natural light from its side windows and its wall of sliding glass doors that open onto the home-length screened porch. Look no farther as to where you’ll savor morning coffee while watching the sun rise and or linger in the evening while appreciating vistas that stretch all the way to the mainland. This property’s bedrooms are located off a peaceful back hall. The first is furnished with two Twins and the second provides both a Double and a Twin. They share a full bath (with tub) which is just across from their doors. At the end of the hall, the generous Queen Primary suite not only features its own private ensuite bath but also tenders private access to the Maritime Forest porch. The Timbercreek community, in which this condo is located, maintains a private saltwater pool for its homeowners and their guests, as well as a Bald Head Creek boardwalk and a private dock from which you can fish, crab, or launch your kayak, canoe or SUP.
An additional $300 nonrefundable pet fee is required if bringing along a dog.

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
