Finding the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, change your family's Cape Fear area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 2F Colony at Oyster Bay Golf View Condo 3 Miles to Sunset Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
