Finding the best vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Anchor Down - Ocean & Canal Views, Near Beach Access, CB Pier, Freeman Park, Outdoor Space, Grill has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
