The US Open Fat Tire Cross Beach Championship pits big-tired bikes against each other in a challenging course along Wrightsville Beach that will thrill spectators and participants alike.
The US Open Fat Tire Cross Beach Championship will consist of a large lap along the coastline that will take racers from the thick sand of the shoreline to the hard packed sand on the water’s edge. There are three categories for this competition - The Fat (12+ miles), The Really Fat (18+ miles), and the Super Fat (24+ miles), and big tires that are 4” wide or wider are recommended for all participants who want to successfully complete the course. Spectators are welcome to head to the beach in front of the Blockade Runner Beach Resort as well to check out the action, and to cheer for their favorite riders.
