For a fresh breakfast or lunch with a clear New York-inspired influence, S&L New York Style Deli literally delivers. Located just outside the downtown area along busy 17thStreet, this little deli is garnering a following among Wilmington’s working sect, as well as sandwich-loving visitors.

The interior is simple but comfortable enough, with a handful of tables that are scattered throughout the modest, one-story structure. The menu shines in this casual environment, with breakfast and lunch items that utilize Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, and which highlight a wealth of traditional NY flavors. For breakfast, patrons can order one of the fresh daily-baked bagels, or make a meal with a full sandwich on a bagel or a Kaiser roll. Specialties include the “Hawk” with fried eggs, steak and Pimento cheese, the BLT, and the “Hobo” with eggs, meats, cheese and home fries on a roll. For lunch, patrons will be treated to more delicious subs, or bagel or Kaiser Roll sandwiches, which includes Italian specialties, grilled roast beef, homemade chicken and tuna salads, and a wealth of fresh veggies and toppings.  Delightfully different and always fresh tasting, S&L New York Style Deli will introduce breakfast lovers and sandwich fans to a wealth of NYC-inspired and wonderfully homemade flavors.
