MAD Southport Military Appreciation Day

Treat the servicemen and servicewomen in your crew to a day and evening of family fun that they won’t soon forget at this annual event that is designed to honor our military personnel. The MAD Southport Military Appreciation Day is a fun-filled day of activity that allows the local community to show their support for members of the military and their families by showcasing all the fun things to see and do in the city of Southport.

September 8 was proclaimed as Military Appreciation Day by the City of Southport, and during the day’s festivities, military members and their families will be treated to a host of activities that showcase everything this welcoming coastal community has to offer. Traditionally, the event takes out military members on volunteer boats for a day of fishing and enjoying the landscape, while entertaining family members at the local Southport Marina. In the late afternoon, after the troops return, everyone is treated to a big family picnic close to the waterfront. Fun for all ages, and free to all military personnel, MAD Southport Military Appreciation Day is a great way for the community to pay tribute to the brave men and women who protect our country.
