Take advantage of an opportunity to see some of the most prestigious and breathtaking gardens in the downtown Wilmington area and beyond with this special tour that coincides with the annual Azalea Festival. The Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour is an annual tour that has been featured in multiple publications like Southern Living magazine, and which introduced garden fans to some of the most stunning landscapes that the Cape Fear area has to offer.

The annual garden tour stops at multiple homes and sites around the town of Wilmington, and the exact locales and destinations change from year to year to make the most of the season. Held during the annual Azalea Festival, tour-goers can expect to encounter a myriad of beautiful gardens at their peak, with blooming azaleas, annuals and perennials, flowering trees, and many more species that thrive in the warm coastal area. Proceeds are reinvested in the beautification of the community through beneficiaries like the New Hanover County, scholarships at UNCW and Cape Fear Community College, and conservation efforts. Free for kids under 12 and open to gardeners of all tastes, this tour is a wonderful way to take in the gorgeous spring landscape of Wilmington.
