Make an adventure out of your next trip in Holden Beach and go fishing with Blackdog Sportfishing. With Captain Mason at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Scamp Grouper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else takes the bait.
During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Mason also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your adventure begins aboard a 31' Center console with space for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Blackdog Sportfishing.
