Meetings
Bimonthly meetings Sept-June.
- Meetings are held every other Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Our next meeting is on May 4, 2024.
- Our meetings are open to anyone with an interest in scriptwriting, regardless of experience level. We love visitors!
- Attending a meeting is a great way to get a feel for the group and see what we’re all about. You may be asked to read a part in a script or participate in a writing prompt, but it is fine to simply observe if you’re more comfortable with that.
- Meetings typically consist of organizational business, such as planning and preparing for upcoming productions, as well as sharing writing-related news and participating in a short, informal writing prompt.
- The heart of our meetings are readings and discussion of members’ scripts.
- Most meetings take place on Zoom. To request the meeting link, simply fill out your email below and submit.
Membership
Explore the benefits of membership.
- Standard member dues are $30 per year. For students and others who request it, dues are $20 per year and may be paid biannually.
- While anyone may attend a meeting, only members may have their scripts workshopped by the group in order to receive constructive feedback and critique.
- Members have the opportunity for their scripts to be produced, both in live theatrical productions and in short film showcases.
- Members have access to valuable resources such as writing and formatting guides, submission opportunities, and industry insights.
- Engaging in discussions, workshops, and critiques can enhance your writing skills. You can learn from others’ techniques, strategies, and writing practices.
- PCP provides a safe space for creativity, where you can experiment with new writing techniques, styles, and ideas without fear of harsh judgment.
Donations
Take support to the next level.
- Your donation to our non-profit organization sustains creativity, culture, and artistic expression in your community.
- PCP proudly affirms a commitment to making our shows accessible to people of all income levels. Your donation allows us to continue to ensure that no one is excluded from the magic of live performance due to economic inequality.
- Unlike many community theatre groups, PCP pays all the actors and directors who offer their considerable time and talents to bring our shows to fruition.
- PCP provides a platform for experimentation and artistic innovation. Donating enables us to take creative risks, produce original works, and collaborate with emerging playwrights, directors, designers, and performers, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
