Strategies to get the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Waterfront Sunsets, the Ocean Steps Away. Comfortable Classy & Clean. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
