Adore Winds is kept fresh by changing out furnishings every couple of years. We also change the pillows after each season as well as bedspreads. Sometimes the photos don't reflect those changes and so making it simple to see that we do as we say.If fresh and clean is important to you then you have found the right place to stay.
In a straight line the home is a half of a mile from beach.
If you want to walk to the beach take the spectacular walkway at the end of our street. The nature trail starts out going over a bridge "Little Davies canal", through the woods then a boardwalk over the marsh, you will come to a street and should be able to see the ocean at that point, the walk takes about 15 - 20 mins..
You can shorten the walk by parking at the recreation center and walking from there, it cuts the walk time by half.
Take a fishing rod and fish off the boardwalk on your way back from the beach for a fresh dinner.
If you have tons to carry then it's a 2 min. drive to the many access points you can park ,some are just yards from the beach next to the homes on the beach.

After a long day at the beach appreciate the shade of the handsome oak trees surrounding the home and untouched wooded tons next door. Sit in the screened in deck and watch the modest wild life frolic in the yard. In the evening sit at the fire pit next to the home.
Take a charming evening walk to the beach down our street and through the nature trail. Find your inner kid and discover the tree home or bring a fishing poll and fish off the boardwalk. Then continue your walk down to the beach.

There is a enormous 52' flat screen TV in main living room, master bedroom and one upstairs, DVD players, Roku, CD/ipod player, board games, books, videos, puzzles, deck, screened porch. Washer and dryer in laundry room. We humbly ask that you help us keep the home clean and handsome.
Animals and Smoking are stringently prohibited.

Booking the best Oak Island vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking yourrental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Clean ~ beautiful setting ~ scenic walk or ride your bikes to the beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
