Don’t be deterred by the lack of reviews, my property was managed by a local property management company until late 2023 and is brand new to Vacation Rental By Owner. I am a Super Host on another platform for another property I own, so be assured you are in good hands!

OIB is a very family-friendly destination and the playground on the island is currently undergoing updates/additions and should be ready by summer 2024. The Summer Concert Series on Friday nights throughout the summer are a blast for the whole family. Come experience all that OIB has to offer.

Please note that linens are not supplied with the rental (except for kitchen towels); you may bring your own, or we will refer you to a local linen rental service.

Get the most from your rental home budget:

• Booking in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
• Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Record a video to document the condition of the property.
• After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
