Visitors and locals of all ages can learn all about how to stay safe at this fun event that is both entertaining and engaging throughout. Back by popular demand and now in its second year, the annual Public Safety Day is a great way for folks to meet and great with local policemen, firemen, and other folks in the neighborhood who are responsible for keeping the coastal communities of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach safe.

The event traditionally takes place at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area, which is located on the tip of Kure Beach, and which has plenty of room for the multiple emergency service vehicles that will be coming to the local neighborhood. Representatives from area police departments, fire departments, EMS, federal agencies, and other supporting organizations will be on hand to explain how they serve the citizens of new Hanover County, and to provide info on steps that residents can take to make their lives even safer. With lots of fun activities and big fire trucks and other vehicles on display, the event is a great outing for visitors of all ages, and especially kids who want to meet the heroes that serve Carolina Beach.
